Rosario Aragón (b. 1991, Cádiz) is a designer and textile artist currently based in Cádiz, southern Spain.
Coming from fashion design and having recently transitioned to textile art, her work explores transformation and identity as something alive, that changes and is in a constant process of liberation.
Her practice explores responsibility when creating work during environmental and social uncertainty. She uses repurposed fabrics and other low impact materials, prioritizing waste reduction and sustainable methods.
Her research and process explore change, fear, nostalgia and transformation. They inhabit the tension between darkness and light, paralysis and movement, attending to cycles and impermanence from the sensitivity of 'mono no aware'.
